This project was born from a challenge: How can we help people adopt habits and behaviors that lead to more sustainable consumption?
Sustainable consumption means making conscious choices while considering their impact on the environment, economy, and society.
I had the opportunity to collaborate on this inspiring project. My primary role was in UI/UX design, where I was responsible for user research, interviews, prototyping & testing, UX/UI design, and project leadership. Additionally, I designed the project's logo and visual identity.
48,4%
of people do not buy sustainable products due to the high price.
75%
acquire information about sustainability through social media or websites
78,9%
of the sample consume fruits, salads, legumes, and vegetables.
Problem Statement
As someone who buys groceries for my household, I want to purchase food with a sustainable bias and at a low cost, especially given the high food prices in Brazil. As a result, I often cannot find a single place to do all my shopping and frequently have to travel to different locations.
The App
For those facing financial constraints and seeking to maintain a healthy and affordable lifestyle, Sabor Econômico is an app that simplifies the purchase of food nearing its expiration date or with minor imperfections. Unlike other similar apps, our product is specifically dedicated to meeting the needs of low-income populations and supporting food service entrepreneurs.

Logo
The choice of colors was based directly on the target audience. Red, orange, and yellow are warm colors and are associated with natural products such as bananas, oranges, tomatoes, among others.
The icon reflects the business strategy, combining awareness of the act of consuming with affordable prices.

Learnings
Flexibility and adaptation We were quite flexible during the project, precisely to adapt to the stimuli received through interviews or even usability tests.
Price is very important Although we want to offer a service that is beneficial to the world, the price of products (being cheaper) is quite important at the time of purchase.
Recognition The flow we created for the user to buy a product is similar to that of market players. Therefore, it was intuitive for the user to buy a product and complete the purchase
